Officially a formula baby/toddler

I lost track of how many days since we introduced the formula to Sofiyya but I am happy to report that she is 100% on formula now.. When she asks for milk she no longer asks for my Bs, she will ask for her bottle. She also knows which is hers, the pink ones! Hehe

I still have maybe 100oz or more EBM left in my freezer but we decided to not give that to her cos we do not want her to relapse..

Sofiyya chilling with her uncle during our family meeting last weekend..

Syukur alhamdulillah. I thank Allah for making the weaning off journey much much easier compared to when we had to wean Nadia off 3 years ago. Alhamdulillah..

Day 6!

Alhamdulillah its the 6th day f weaning Sofiyya off Breastmilk.. I have to admit i am a bit sadden by this but its about time as she is now 2yrs and 3months old.. Se always tries her luck by asking for 'nenen ami' first, shedding a couple of tears and crying for a couple of minutes but when i give her her bottle she usually takes it straight away and drink up.. Tonight she immediately asked 'mau nenen botol' so i guess she now knows i will not give the Bs to her..

I have to get used to waking up in the middle of the night to make milk now.. So have prepared 2 bottles, hot water thermos and water bottle on the bedside table for tonight..

With now Sofiyya being bottle fed we have also (re)started car seat training for the girls.. Alhamdulillah that is also going on fine.. Told the hubs tonight that its kinda nice sitting in frint together lol

Earlier today.. Have to think of a solution for Dia.. Kesian she have to sleep like that..

And this evening while the girls were singing.. Hehe

Always hard

Its been about 3 years since i went on my last business trip and my last time being away from the husband and the girls.. It was tough of course, cried a bucket before i left for the airport. The girls asked if i was crying and when i denied it they laughed at me and brushed me off. I cried a bucket the first day and night and Alhamdulillah as the days go by the pain gets lesser. Thank god for whatsapp and other means of keeping in touch. We didn't dare do a facetime tho cause we didn't want the girls to be thinking about me too much.. and i bet i will try a river if i do that! LoL

So i went to S.Korea again this time around and here are some photos of the trip, taken from my phone.. Hehehe

Waiting to board the plane at Brunei International airport

After i shed a tear or two in the plane LOL

Experienced RB's business class where they lent us the mini iPad for entertainment. That was pretty awesome!

At terminal 3, Changi airport

Waiting to board the 2nd leg of our journey from Singapore to Incheon airport, Seoul

On board the midnight flight to Seoul and ready to call it a night. The business class seat was pretty awesome cause we were able to lie down flat hence easier to fall asleep..

My breakfast at about 6am..

Just before we landed

Waiting to board our flight leg which was a domestic flight from Gimpo airport to Gimhae airport

After about 18hrs we finally checked into the hotel and this was our view..

That afternoon we went to the World's largest department store

Had Japanese for our hi-tea

And some kebab by the busy street of Ulsan

Heading out for our meeting..

Lunch was at a Halal indian restaurant

And had one of this Alaskan King Crab for dinner..

The crab was 3kg which we shared among 5 ppl..

After the lady cut the huge crab open.. It was so tasty and would strongly recommend everyone to try this! It was pricy too.. Cost us BND 250 for 3kg!

Day 3: another round of meetings

And a visit around the shipyard..

With our local secretary Sumi who was also our secretary from the previous project.

One of the yummy things were these crab sticks! Perfect with maggi kari! LOL

And i bought a happy call pan! It was def cheaper there!

Dinner was japanese again cause the lebanese rest we wanted to go to was closed..

We ordered via this cool touch screen kiosk

We flew home early friday morning!

Waiting to board our flight to Hongkong

Waiting to see which gate we will be boarding at HKG airport

Our ride home

Happy faces!!

I was soo happy to see the girls and the husband.. I cried and the girls laughed again hehehe

Weaning off

Third night in a row now since Sofiyya started taking bottle before her sleep.. Alhamdulillah i am very happy and proud of my baby. Albeit her crying and asking for 'nenen ami(mummy)' once i coax her with many many praises she will take her bottle.. Syukur alhamdulillah, my weaning off journey is easier this time around compared to Nadia.

30th Ramadhan

Alhamdulillah i just had the last Sahur for this year. One more day and we shall celebrate hari raya..

This ramadhan has taught me among others that i should be thankful for whatever that Allah has given me.

One of the essence of ramadhan is that we are asked to fast from sunrise to sunset to remind ourselves and to step into the less fortunate's shoes. And the donation drives opened my eyes a little wider, see a bit further than my normal horizon. I am very thankful and grateful for the opportunity that my teams, both in BGC and SCM has given me and i will cherish the humbling experience and memory forever and i hope and pray that i never loose track again and to always give back to the needy. We have a few more drives planned towards the end of the year and i can't wait..!

Yesterday i received fantastic news that i passed my first two CIPS paper that i sat back in May. As i was celebrating i received news that one of my colleagues just lost his father. This has reminded me that di dalam kegembiraan mesti ada seseorang yg di timpa kemalangan or kesedihan.. Al-fatihah and my deepest condolences to my friend and may Allah give you and your family the strength and courage to face the difficult times ahead. And may Allah grant your late father Jannah.

Back to my exam results, i was over the moon and insyallah one more module and i shall complete my diploma! Woot woot! I'll start studying after the hari raya celebrations.. I promise! LoL
